We had a beautiful month of love and now we’re into the month when Spring should officially be starting, which we’re very much looking forward to. We’re also looking forward to what we’ve got coming up in March, which is going to be powerful and insightful.
SPINE Festival 2019
We’re starting March at the Stronger Minds Wellbeing Fair, which is a creative wellbeing fair taking place at Croydon Central Library. The fair is part of SPINE Festival 2019, a multi-disciplinary arts festival produced by Apples and Snakes, giving young people the chance to engage with workshops and live performances for free at their local library.
We’ll be at Croydon Central Library from 12-4pm, alongside a number of great organisations. There will also be the opportunity to take part in mindfulness sessions, dance therapy and the poetic theatre show, Crowded, and more. You don’t want to miss this special event.
After an amazing conversation last month, we’ve got another amazing conversation in store when we’ll be talking Consent at The Kickback on March 19th. The topic of consent is real murky, but also real important, and definitely needs to be taken into greater consideration. We’ll be joined by arts charity, Tender, who will be leading out and contributing to the conversation.
This is an event you do not want to miss, so make sure you’re at Project B from 6.30-8.30pm to get involved in this thought-provoking conversation. There will be snacks and great people too, which is always a positive. Register for free here: bit.ly/letstalkconsent
We’ll be seeing out March strong at Poetic Insight when the theme will be ‘Respect’, which we are really excited about. This is a powerful word that says so much and can be interpreted in many ways. If you want to share poetry or spoken word on the night, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or get in touch through social media.
It’s going to be another unmissable event, so you’ll want to be at Urban XChange Bar & Grill on March 26th from 7-9pm. You can get your free tickets now: bit.ly/poeticinsightrespect
March is looking to be a powerful and very interesting month, and we cannot wait for you to be a part of it. It will be great to see your beautiful faces as always, but until then, let’s stay connected on social media and keep a look out for our upcoming blog posts.
