What’s Coming Up in November?

With the click of a finger, it’s November and we’re down to our last full months of events (we’ve only got one event in December).  It’s crazy at how mad quick this year has gone by, but we can we do?  Time waits for no man.  With that said, let’s get into what’s coming up this month.

The Kickback

We’ve got another big conversation for you at The Kickback, talking about Gender Identity as suggested by Kris, who unfortunately can’t make the event but has sent us in some amazing questions.  This is set to be a super rich conversation and another important one, which we encourage as many people as possible to be a part of.  If you also want to contribute any questions to be asked on the night, please get in touch by sending a message to youngpeopleinsight@gmail.com

We’re back at Project B from 6.30-8.30pm on the 19th November.  We’ll be bringing the snacks and the smiles, so all you have to do is bring your voices, your minds and a friend, if they’re free.  The Kickback is supported by Kiwanis Club of Croydon, who help us to bring you the snacks you love to graze on.  You can register for free at bit.ly/letstalk-genderidentity

Poetic Insight

We’ve got another big, first-time theme for Poetic Insight this month, when we’ll be focusing on Equal Rights.  This definitely sets the stage for a powerful night of poetry and spoken word from young, talented voices.

If you want to share your poetry or spoken word on the night, please email youngpeopleinsight@gmail.com and we’ll add you to the list. However, if getting on stage isn’t your thing, then send us your poems and we’ll post them here on the blog.

There was a little slip up with the venue last month, but we should be back at Urban Xchange Bar & Grill on the 26th November, from 7-9pm.  Get the date in your diaries or calendars, so you don’t miss out, or get a reminder by registering for your free tickets here: bit.ly/poeticinsight-equalrights

As always, we’d love to get your voices represented on the blog, so please send us your poems, personal experiences or creative writing on gender identity or equal rights. Email us at youngpeopleinsight@gmail.com with anything you would like to share.

It would be great to see your beautiful faces at one of our November events, as there will only be one combined event in December and after that, there may not be any of our monthly events for the foreseeable future as some changes happen behind the scenes. Don’t miss the chance to make your voice heard and enjoy the rest of your November.
